Art Quilt Inspiration from the humble clothesline
There is one activity that unites the whole world – everyone washes their clothes. There is little variation between continents and nationalities. You could say that fresh air, clean water and soap literally could clean up this world of ours.
Regular readers of this blog will already know that bold lines, strong shapes and bright colors appeal to me when I am developing a new quilt idea. This collection of 9 photos from laundries in a variety of countries may inspire your thinking for future art quilt planning and projects. The laundry items themselves easily correspond to fabrics you probably have in your stashes.
